About Rye
Hello! My name is Rye Easton. I am a 25-year-old working towards a Master of Science at Colorado State University. I am a huge hockey fan (go Avs!) and a lover of technology.
My research is related to task decomposition for temporal logic in multi-agent systems. I really enjoy the perspective and focus it gives around common challenges in the field, namely how best to distribute tasks throughout a system.
I try to strike a balance between theory and practicality in computer science. For obvious reasons, that's easier said than done -- but you can't have one without the other. Over my time at CSU, I've been heavily involved as a teaching assistant. The classes that I have worked for include our large software engineering classes (CS314) and our theory-based algorithms/formal math classes (CS320, CS220). The former has been quite successful for me; as the DevOps lead for the course, I was able to launch a number of projects to improve devolper experience and reduce the operations workload for future staff groups.
